Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 10 years, 12 months AGO
PLUMMER — The good news was the Wampus Cat boys held Lakeside to just 13 points combined in the second and fourth quarters.
Unfortunately the bad news was that Lakeside scored 48 points in the other two quarters, leading to a 61-30 win over Clark Fork in North Star League boys basketball Friday night in Plummer.
Tristin Bristol posted nine points and nine rebounds to lead the Wampus Cats (2-10, 0-4 NSL), who actually outplayed the Knights in stretches.
“They made their big runs, other than that we played pretty well,” said Cats head coach Corey Vogel, whose team shot just 9-31 from the field. “We did a good job of breaking their press, I was proud of that. They (Knights) had a couple of 10 point runs and that hurt us.”
Brandan Bowen scored seven points, Zach Nesbitt added five assists and three steals, and Geoff Boudousquie two blocks for the Cats.
Jordan Meshell led the Knights (12-3, 4-0 NSL) with 17 points.
