KELLOGG - Lakeland's Will Putman (145 pounds), Tanner Read (195) and Noah Smith (220) claimed championships at the annual George Wild tournament on Saturday at Andrews Gymnasium.

"Those guys wrestled really well," Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said. "Will is starting to come out of his rut that he was in earlier in the year. Tanner wrestled really well and pinned his way through the tournament. We bumped Noah up because our other guy missed weight. Noah wrestled hard and I was really happy for him."

Eureka (Mont.) edged tournament host Kellogg 184.5-180 for the team title. Lakeland finished third with 164 points.

"I was happy with our performance," Edelblute said. "They wrestled hard and it was a good week for them."

Mikey Kelley (98) and Jake Lunceford (285) won titles for Coeur d'Alene, which finished fifth.

Tucker Figueroa (120), Blake Ivie (132), Davin Wadsworth (170) and Jonathan O'Brien (182) claimed titles for Kellogg.

Reid Ryle (152) and Isaac Walters (160) won championships for St. Maries, which finished fourth.
