Wallace (13-3, 7-0 NSL) pulled away from a 20-all tie after three quarters.

"Wallace is a good shooting team," Kootenai coach Mike LaFountaine said. "They made five free throws in the fourth quarter. We went cold in the fourth. We went 4 of 21 (from the floor) in the second half."

Katey Mae McIntruff scored nine points for Kootenai (4-7, 2-4 NSL), which plays Thursday at St. Maries.

POST FALLS - Shayna Allert scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field for the Trojans, who lost a 5A Inland Empire League game to the top-ranked (5A) Bengals at The Arena.

"Lewiston came out shooting the ball really well and hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter," Post Falls coach Marc Allert said. "They shot well and we didn't. I thought we played well at times, and the times we didn't, Lewiston played really well."

Post Falls (9-9, 0-5 5A IEL) hosts Moscow on Tuesday.

COEUR d'ALENE - Cassi Hashley had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Wolfpack of Kalispell, Mont., in a win against the Timberwolves.

"It kind of got away from us in the fourth quarter," Lake City coach Bryan Kelly said. "We had to keep fouling, but I thought we did a better job of attacking the basket in the first half. We had too many fouls (27). (Hashley) is a good player and a tough matchup at 6-foot-2. Madi (Farrell) did a good job of battling with her and I thought we as a team did as well, but she just had too many offensive rebounds and put them back in."

Cierra Dvorak had 13 points, Camryn Wendlandt eight rebounds for Lake City (10-9), which hosts Lewiston on Saturday to conclude the regular season.

"Cierra had a good game for us and sparked us off the bench," Kelly said of the 5-8 sophomore guard. "Our effort has been better the last couple of weeks. We're getting there and we'll see what we can do at districts."

Lakeland 37

RATHDRUM - Lakeland senior post Kelly Ramus finished with a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, but the Hawks could not slow Moscow guard Jada Simpson down in a 4A Inland Empire League loss at Hawk Court.

Lakeland (3-15, 0-4 4A IEL) took a 13-11 lead after the first quarter, but scored just 11 points in the middle two quarters.

Simpson scored 17 of her game-high 24 points in the first half for Moscow (2-13, 2-1).

"The first and fourth quarters were good," Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said. "It was the middle two quarters that were our undoing. In the first quarter, it was the best we've played all season. We executed well on both ends of the court. Moscow knocked down some big shots in the second quarter and Jada Simpson had quite a game."

Moscow took control after the third, leading 41-21.

"We couldn't keep them off the free-throw line," Seymour said. "They shot 23 of their 30 free throws in the second half. Kelly Ramus had a great game for us. I was happy for Kelly."

Emily Vanderhoof had four assists for Lakeland, which hosts Kellogg on Thursday.

Lakeland will be the No. 3 seed, and face the No. 2 seed Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. at North Idaho College in the first round of the 4A Region 1 tournament.

Grangeville 59

Cd'A Charter 18

GRANGEVILLE - Sarah Haman scored six points for the visiting Panthers, who lost big in a Central Idaho League matchup with the Bulldogs, ranked second in the state in 2A.

"This one's on me as a coach," Cd'A Charter coach Doug Grant said. "I made a decision at the beginning of this decision to cut back our practice times by 30 minutes a night, because of the academic grind from Charter. I agreed to it reluctantly. It's the worst coaching decision I've made in 20 years. You can't cut out 32 hours of practice per season and expect to compete. There's a big gap between the rest of the league and us. Turnovers crushed us in that second quarter."

Down 14-1, Charter cut lead to 18-10 after the first quarter, but the Bulldogs went on a 22-0 blitz in the second quarter to stake a 40-10 halftime lead over Cd'A Charter (7-9, 2-3 CIL).

"They extended their pressure and we collapsed," Grant said.

Chantel Key scored 18 points for Grangeville (12-3, 5-0), which clinched the CIL title.

On Jan. 4 at home, the Panthers lost 33-21 to the Bulldogs.
