On Tuesday morning, Polson schools went on a district-wide lockdown for unspecified reasons. Later in the day, district officials issued the following press release:

“The Polson school district conducted a short external lockdown in all schools today. This was a precautionary measure based on information reported from a community source outside of the school. It was conducted in conjunction with local law enforcement to prevent anyone from entering the school buildings until a determination was made that any potential concern was averted. This action was taken to ensure the safety of all Polson students.”
