COINS: Not too late to make amends

This letter concerns my dealing with CoinNuts in 2010 = Another unsatisfied customer.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

To the owner of CoinNuts, located at the northeast corner of Highway 95 and Bosanko, with an address of 296 W. Sunset Ave., in the city of Coeur d’Alene.

After waiting for four months I am done waiting for my order to be filled. I will be in on week 18, Tuesday, April 13, 2010, to either pick up my five remaining due Maple Leafs or Krugerrands, or a full refund, or a combination of both: 1 - 1175; 2 - 2350; 3 - 3525; 4 - 4700; 5 - 5875; 6 - received one on March 23, 2010.

Don’t tell me you have to apply a fee for refunding my money. I don’t believe that your supplier has my money. I believe that my money is in your hands, possibly in your bank earning interest. How can you pay people that come in to sell you their coins — don’t you have funds for that?

Maple Leafs and Krugerrands can’t be that hard to acquire. After I came in your store on Monday, April 5, and was told “no coins yet,” on Tuesday, April 6, I called seven coin stores in Spokane to see if they had Maple Leafs or Krugerrands (in stock). They were Coin Corner, Rare Coin Co., Coin Plus, American, Red Line, Spokane Coin and E. Washington. Surprisingly, four dealers did have them in stock. Two stores saying yes asked me how many I wanted — one had 10 to 20, and one had 20 some coins. The three that didn’t — one said no, he had some but they were for his orders; another said no, but had some that morning; the third said no, but had Gold Eagles. Most of these stores seem to have no trouble stocking coins.

I watch Fox News on TV and there are many companies that advertise gold for sale. Goldline has 12 different phone numbers, Lear has two numbers, Merit, Midas, Monex, Rosland, Superior have four phone numbers and wholesale. With eight companies selling gold I can’t believe I am still waiting after four months for my order to be filled. Something is not right.

This morning I called the BBB in Spokane and inquired about your business. I learned a few things, but will not go into that now. If we can’t get this matter resolved by Tuesday, April 13, I plan to go to the BBB and submit a letter detailing all the events from Dec. 8 to now, and also file a complaint with them. I really would like to avoid any trouble and I hate to be so blunt — but you are leaving me with no other choice. I don’t want to wait too long and possibly see your business go under in the near future — declaring bankruptcy and screwing me and your other customers. Your business is listed in the white pages and also the yellow pages, but you have no paid ad space — just your name, address and phone number on one line. Is your business not able to place an eye catching ad due to a shortage of funds?

Besides your business possibly failing and me not getting my merchandise or refund, I would hate to die either by accident or natural causes leaving my heirs short their 5 ounces of gold.

Please give this matter your full consideration. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Regretfully Yours,

D.L. MINICH
