WRESTLING

LEWISTON - Alius De La Rosa of Post Falls pinned Rylie Pecoff of Lewiston in the final match in the 120-pound weight class Wednesday, to clinch a 39-38 dual victory for the Trojans at Booth Hall.

"One huge one was Nathan Hill at 113 pounds," Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. "He put the kid on his back and pinned him (at :27) and that was huge, him being a backup from the junior varsity team. We had TJ Wolf at 135 who is a real tough kid and Stephen Ost moved up at 160, gave up some weight and won his match. It was a great win for everybody."

Sandpoint 32

SANDPOINT - Despite winning a dual meet, Coeur d'Alene coach Jeff Moffat was not the most thrilled coach in the world.

"I was disappointed in the way we wrestled," Moffat said. "We've been giving a good effort in every match but we're not real happy with how we wrestled. Hudson Staub had a good win (at 182 pounds). I'm hoping we're hoping we'll do better for our tournament this weekend. Give a lot of credit to Sandpoint. They were more aggressive than we were. Hopefully we can turn it around. Even though we won the dual, we got outwrestled."

Coeur d'Alene hosts the North Idaho Rumble this Friday and Saturday.
