MOSES LAKE - A state trooper was struck by an alleged drunk driver during a traffic stop in Moses Lake Monday night.

Trooper Jeremy Weber, 40, of Waterville, was treated on scene for his injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Weber was conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and South Gumwood Street about 10 p.m. While he was outside his patrol car, he was reportedly struck by a vehicle as it passed in the right lane.

Mary M. Calahan Bartley, the driver of the 2003 Ford Taurus that struck Weber, allegedly failed to stop after hitting Weber. Troopers were able to follow her and she was stopped shortly after in the 1000 block of West Marina Drive, about two blocks away from the collision. She was reportedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash, according to the State Patrol.

Calahan Bartley, 58, of Reno, Nev., was booked into Grant County Jail on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run, and reckless endangerment of an emergency worker. Her vehicle was impounded.
