COEUR d'ALENE - A 69-year-old Coeur d'Alene man pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court to the possession of sexually explicit images of minors.

Loren Stanley Hall faces up to 10 years in prison and five years to a lifetime of supervised release. He will be sentenced by Judge Edward Lodge on April 28 at the federal courthouse in Coeur d'Alene.

In June of 2012, police discovered that a computer in Coeur d'Alene was making child pornography available on the internet. Using information obtained when downloading the file, the officer learned that a video depicting minors was being made available from Hall's home.

When his home was searched in October 2012, Hall told police he had been downloading pornography involving "younger girls."

A forensic examiner looked at Hall's computer and discovered at least 50 movies depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
