Lake City Playhouse will hold "Pirates of Penzance: In Concert," a show and three-course dinner benefit for the community theater.

The fundraiser takes place Feb. 8 at Faith Ministries, 5073 E. 16th Ave., Post Falls.

The show, an entirely original comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan, features many local actors well-known to Playhouse audiences. It is directed by Abbey Crawford.

While the cast provides entertainment, attendees will enjoy dinner with a pirate-themed menu that includes "Chilled-to-the-Bone Squash Soup," "Leg O'Gobbler," "Roasted & Flogged Taters," "Sword O'Fruit," "Grilled Bunny Grub" and "Scallywag Delight."

This evening will also include an auction, a "wine tree" and other opportunities to support the local theater.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 and a 7:30 curtain.

Tickets are $40 per person - or $35 per ticket for tables of eight. They can be purchased online at lakecityplayhouse.org or by calling (208) 667-1323.
