COEUR d’ALENE — Parker Gabrielson struck out five in six innings as the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen “AA” team defeated the Gallitin Valley Outlaws of Manhattan, Mont., 4-3 in the Lums’ opening game of the Spokane/Çoeur d’Alene Wood Bat baseball Classic on Thursday at Thorco Field.
“It was awesome to win a close one,” Coeur d’Alene coach Zach Clanton said. “We’d been a little close in a few games lately, so it was good to see them hold on to the win.”
