COEUR d'ALENE - Last weekend's crummy weather dampened many a good time, but expect this Fourth of July weekend's weather to be something worth fireworks.

For starters, there is zero chance of rain. Zero.

Ty Judd, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service and a Coeur d'Alene resident, said Thursday that people will be able to enjoy being outside all weekend.

Temperatures are expected to be 82 or 83 degrees today, which is about average, Judd said.

As for the evening skies tonight during the Lake Coeur d'Alene fireworks show, Judd said it will be partly cloudy - at worst. Great for fireworks visibility.

It will be a little breezy this afternoon. There might be some gusts of 11 or 12 mph in the early evening.

"As we start losing our heating we'll see those winds die down," Judd said.

Around 9 p.m. today the temperature should be in the lower 70s, he said.

Expect the temperature to be lower to mid-80s for Saturday, and inching up to close to 90 by Monday, Judd said.
