SANDPOINT — Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter sees good things ahead for North Idaho when it comes to industry, education and lake management.
As a part of a media relations campaign with outlets across the state, Otter discussed several of the issues affecting individuals in Bonner County. In light of recent concern over management of the Lake Pend Oreille water level, he said he’s been keeping a close eye on the situation and is communicating with the Lakes Commission to manage the conflicting expectations.
“I think Idahoans should run that lake,” he said, later adding, “I’m continuing to work with the Lakes Commission and use all means at my disposal ... to manage a lake level that serves Idaho citizens.”
