SPOKANE - Former Coeur d'Alene High standout Graison Le scored the equalizer in the 69th minute as the Spokane Shadow tied Vancouver 1-1 in Evergreen Premier League soccer play Sunday afternoon at Spokane Falls Community College.
Le scored from 19 yards out on a free kick play in which Pete Peterson laid a short ball from the left edge of the box back to Le at the top of the box.
"The game was really tough just because of the heat; and I think that really put a toll on everyone out there so I think that's why everyone was grinding so hard," said Le, who now plays at Gonzaga. "The goal came on a free kick and I couldn't have been happier with it. Glad that we at least got a result and got a tie and a point out of the game. Happy with that but I think we could have pulled out with a win and hopefully we'll get them Thursday."
Mirza Ramic scored for Vancouver (8-3-1) on a penalty kick in the 31st minute.
Spokane (6-2-2), in third place in the EPL, travels to second-place Vancouver on Thursday and visits Yakima on Friday.
