Hundreds of Whitefish High School graduates have signed up for the All Class Reunion set for Aug. 1-3.
The reunion commemorates the 100th graduating class of the school with the class of 2014.
Organizer Rebecca Schlinger Duckett said about 300 people have signed up and registration forms continue to flow in daily.
“We were shooting for a higher number,” Duckett said. “But we’re pleased with where we are at.”
Duckett, along with other volunteers, has been working for more than six months to organize the reunion event.
The earliest class registered so far is the class of 1944 with two members from the class planing to attend. The newest class is the class of 2004.
Duckett said classes from the 1950s and 1960s have garnered the most interest.
Former and current teachers and staff of WHS are invited to attend Friday night’s event free of charge. Also members of the class of 2014 are invited to attend Friday night for free, but will be required to show their school identification.
A mixer/registration with music from DJ Mobile Beat starts the weekend at Depot Park from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1. A dinner from Piggyback BBQ and dance with music from Marshall Catch is Saturday, Aug. 2 at Depot Park from 6-11 p.m. The cost for Friday is $10. Saturday is $40 for adults and $25 for children 10 to 18 years, with under 10 free.
The deadline to register for the Saturday dinner is July 27.
T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats are being pre-sold prior to the reunion with a deadline of July 10 to have pickup at the reunion. Orders for items to be shipped later will also be taken during the reunion events.
Sunday has been set aside for individual classes to meet. Duckett said she can provide information for those looking to find out if their individual class is meeting on that day.
The Festival Amadeus has donated the use of its stage for the weekend. Volunteers are still needed to help with set up on Friday and take down and cleanup on Sunday.
