The B-29 Superfortress bomber Fifi is expected to be in Hayden this morning for the last day of the three-day vintage aircraft exhibition by Commemorative Air Force, the Texas-based flying museum.

Mechanical problems kept the vintage bird grounded on Monday and Tuesday, disappointing some visitors who traveled to the Resort Jet Center at the Coeur d'Alene Airport/Pappy Boyington Field to see it.

Spokeswoman Kim Pardon said the aircraft was expected to land in Hayden at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pardon did not immediately respond to queries about a possible extension of the tour.
