Deputies discovered the body of a Ronan woman missing since June 30 in her car Tuesday afternoon in southern Flathead County.

Shannon Turner, 40, left her house June 30 to go to Kalispell, said Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin.

Family members became concerned when Turner did not return home.

Sheriff’s deputies began looking for Turner, who was driving a Maroon 2006 Chevy Uplander van, July 1.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies received a tip from a citizen regarding the location of the Uplander at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release.

Flathead County Deputies located the car at about 6 p.m. and found Turner’s remains inside.

The Flathead County SO will conduct the investigation.
