Two sex crimes reported in Troy after holiday celebration

Two sexual assaults were reported to law enforcement in the early morning of July 5, according to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

The first call was made by an unidentified man at 1:42 a.m. about the rape of his 44-year-old daughter at the weigh station near the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 56. The suspect was unknown. According to the release, the victim is now at home in Noxon.

The second call came from Troy at 4:44 a.m. A woman stated to the officer on site that she was raped in an alley in Troy, although the exact location, suspect description and time of incident were not released.

Jessica Vanderhoef, administrative assistant with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, said that the situation is an ongoing investigation and additional details about the incidents are unavailable at this time.
