Walleyes winless at Duster Bowl Tournament

KENNEWICK - The Moses Lake Walleyes ran into heavy resistance at the 33rd annual Duster Bowl Tournament over the July 4 weekend.
The Walleyes lost all four of their games, including two one-run defeats early in the tournament.
Despite a late lead, Moses Lake dropped its first game to the Bandits, 4-3.
The Walleyes were also edged by Chiawana, 7-6, and were outgunned by the Phantoms, 12-2 on Friday and Saturday.
Moses Lake lost its tournament finale 5-3 to Mountain View.
In the opener, the Bandits took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning before Moses Lake responded with three runs in the fourth.
However, the Bandits were able to tack one run across in the fifth and sixth inning to escape with the win.
Cristian Lopez led the way offensively for the Walleyes with two RBIs.
Jason Cole pitched six innings and struck out a game-high three batters.
