SANDPOINT — City officials don’t foresee any major changes to staffing and benefits in the coming budget year aside from some changes to health care policy.

City treasurer Shannon Syth gave council members a rundown of budgeting last week, leading them in to the first round of planning. In planning the staffing levels, wages and other benefits, council members chose to leave most factors consistent with previous years, aside from increasing employee contribution in medical insurance premium rates for from 16.5 percent to 21.5 percent.
