SANDPOINT — This year’s Jacey’s Race beneficiaries may seem like a diverse bunch, but they have at least one thing in common: They’re all troopers.

It’s a word that the families of 6-year-old Nevaeh Flynn, 11-year-old Brian Moore and 14-year-old Mariah Lauzon all use to describe their kids’ fortitude and endurance in the face of some very trying circumstances. This Sunday, the community both local and visiting will help shoulder some of their burden at the Jacey’s Race 5K run and walk. Proceeds from the race will help the beneficiaries’ families as they undergo treatment.
