Thank you for caring

For over 90 years The American Legion Auxiliary has distributed the Memorial Poppy to remind Americans that millions scarified their lives and health to keep our Nation strong and free.

The poppy grew wild on the battlefields of Flander Field. In the minds of WW1 soldiers it became a symbol of the sacrifice they had endured. The poppy flourished among the shelled buildings and bomb scarred landscape. Like the blood that was shed there, its brilliant red bloom became a sign of hope renewal for those who lived and walked away. For those who would never leave, those who had given their lives, it is a perpetual memorial to their bravery.

American veterans brought home that image and planted it with auxiliary, where it blooms anually to benefit those who serve our country. Memorial Poppy contributions are devoted entirely to rehabilitation and assistance for veterans who receive payment for each poppy made. Additionally all contributions to the poppy program are designated to benefit American Veterans.

On behalf of those Veterans and The American Legion Auxiliary, thank you for caring and your donations.
