Talley uses head, lifts Shadow into first place

YAKIMA, Wash. - North Idaho College player and former East Valley High star Adam Talley pushed a header to the far post in the 90th minute as the Spokane Shadow beat the Yakima United FC 1-0 in Evergreen Premier League soccer play on Friday night at Marquette Stadium.

Spokane (8-2-2, 26 points) moved into first place in the league with two games remaining and finished the regular season unbeaten on the road (6-0-1).

Spokane now has a 10-match unbeaten streak, with its two losses coming in the first two games of the season. Yakima is 5-8-1, 16 points.

Spokane hosts Seattle next Saturday at 7 p.m. at Spokane Falls Community College.
