Lewd conduct trial starts Monday

SANDPOINT — Jurors began hearing Monday the case against a Bonner County man accused of lewd and lascivious conduct with a preteen girl.
James LeMar Parton is accused of molesting the girl in Careywood and Sagle in 2012 and 2013. The girl was between the ages of 11 and 12 at the time of the alleged abuse, charging documents say.
Parton, 48, pleaded not guilt, which set the stage for his four-day jury trial in 1st District Court.
