A public meeting is being held on Wednesday night to discuss the annexation of the Troy Museum.

Troy City Council member Dallas Carr said the property where the museum is located is not actually part of Troy.

It was not clear if the museum was on property that belonged to the railroad or if it was owned by Lincoln County, but the City of Troy had been doing the upkeep on the building that was once located near the Home Bar.

The annexation would make the museum officially a part of Troy, Carr said. The public meeting will be held at 6.45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16 at Troy City Council chambers.
