Community key to strong rural towns

SANDPOINT — When it comes to developing strong and vital rural towns, community is the key.

That rallying cry attracted dozens of community leaders from around the country to Sandpoint for the inaugural Association of Communiversities Conference, which was held Tuesday through Thursday. Visitors from Georgia, Wyoming, British Columbia, California and more got a taste of the Sandpoint summer while weighing serious questions about strengthening communities.
