MOSES LAKE - Beloit Daily News Publisher Kent Eymann was named interim publisher of the Columbia Basin Herald Tuesday.

Eymann will serve in dual roles during an interim period, both as publisher of the Beloit newspaper, a Hagadone publication in Wisconsin, and in an interim role in Moses Lake, according to Hagadone Corporation President Brad Hagadone.

Eymann has worked in newspapers since 1992 and is a past president and board member of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.

He is also active with several civic groups in Beloit.

Eymann is an Internet marketing consultant with WSI (We Simplify the Internet), an Internet marketing venture for The Hagadone Corporation.

Eymann explained he is being brought in to run the paper because of the consistency in operations he offers, along with enhancing the paper's digital offerings. Also, Hagadone knows him.

"It is also not uncommon in this day and age for senior newspaper publishers to publish more than one paper," Eymann commented. "I just want to help and assist the people who are here at this newspaper."

He said no significant changes are in the forecast in how the paper is run or the design.

"Any changes that will occur will happen over time and for a reason," Eymann said.
