Man's body found in Clark Fork River in Missoula

MISSOULA — Police and the Missoula County sheriff’s office are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Clark Fork River in Missoula.

Passers-by reported seeing the body in the water east of the California Street footbridge at about 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers say the man was a 60-year-old Missoula resident. His name hasn’t been released.

Missoula County sheriff’s spokeswoman Paige Pavalone says investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death.
