SOAP LAKE - Masquers Theatre of Soap Lake will hold auditions July 26-27 and August 2-3, from 2-4 p.m. for the fall musical "Pajama Game" .
Director Holli Bosnar is teaming up with assistant director Eric Van Woert to bring this light-hearted romantic comedy to the Masquers stage. They are looking for male and female actors who can sing, dance, and act - whether or not they can do all three or just sing, or dance or act.
Also needed is help backstage and in the technical booth. Experience is preferred, but not required.
If you'd like to be part of the fun, whether it is as an actor, singer, dancer, backstage manager, help with box office or publicity, just let Masquers know. You may call Joanne Bracht at 509 237-1088 or email her at joannebracht@hotmail.com
The play will run from October 17 through November 23 and actors must commit to those dates as well as be available for all practices, Bracht said.
Masquers Theatre is a non-profit community theatre located at 322 Main Avenue E. in Soap Lake. The staff and board of directors are all volunteers who are committed to providing quality theatre.
"People from all over the United States travel to see our productions," Bracht said.
The Masquers season runs from Sept. 1-Aug. 31. Memberships and season tickets can be purchased at Masquers's annual membership event. This year's event is set for Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. Memberships and season tickets can also be purchased by contacting Masquers through email at arts@masquers.com.
"We are always interested in new talent and encourage anyone who is interested in helping, either as a volunteer or a board member, by calling (509) 246-2611 and leaving a message or emailing Masquers at the above address," Bracht said.
