I would like to respond to Wes Higgins’ comical letter to the editor about Benghazi.

Wes, you stated that this is the ninth time a Benghazi committee has been formed. Well if the current administration was transparent and truthfull we would have only needed one committee to find out the truth. Let me lay the truth on you, sir. Two Americans  were attacked by terrorists and two Americans disobeyed orders and went and DIED trying to save them! Two former SEALS! That’s it ! While your buddy Obama was sleeping so he would not be late for a fundraiser in Nevada, four Americans were fighting for thier lives thinking that the calvalry would be rolling in any minute. But the calvalry never showed up, did they, Wes? 

You talk about embassies attacked under Bush, but you fail to mention Bush’s love of America and his quick and devastating response to any terrorist  group that has attacked us, and the fact that we never lost an ambassador under Bush. 

The moment I knew your letter was a joke was when you mentioned FoxNews. I am not sure, but are they the only news channel that actually reports the news instead of avoiding it? Look, Wes, I really don’t have anything against you or liberals such as yourself. I am a conservative who deeply loves his country and believes wholeheartedly in the Constitution, and because of that I respect your right to voice your opinion.

However, I would urge you to read the Constitution and maybe then you would see who is using it for toilet paper. I could go on about how Obama called Bush un-American for raising the debt $4 trillion in eight years when Obama raised it more than that in four years, or the money you and I lost as taxpayers in his failed auto bailout, or the fact that he has forced us to buy a product that clearly has devastated millions of Americans, and yes, Wes, I know many people that have been shafted by Obamacare. 

But, hey, Nancy Pelosi said it best when she stated that you need to pass the bill, then read it when the fog has passed. I will remember that when I go to buy a new car and the salesman says sign the contract now and you will understand it better when the excitement of buying a new car wears off! I am so glad I am not gullible enough to fall for that! But then I am a conservative and a Republican so I am not so easily fooled. 

I thank God that this administration has not yet taken away my right to respond to the foolishness you wrote in your letter to the editor. I am also proud of the Daily Inter Lake, because unlike the liberal anti-American news media the Daily Inter Lake posts views from both sides. That is definitely unlike other media outlets that limit our knowledge of what is happening in this country, and no, Wes, I am not talking about Fox News.
