EPHRATA - The Grant County Board of Equalization will be conducted on July 15 at the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata.

It will be held in Annex Conference Room, 35 C St. NW, starting at 9 a.m. It will continue for not less than three days and not more than 28, with occasional adjournments.

Thereafter, meetings will be held on Thursdays and Fridays and at other times as required.

The Board of Equalization publicly examines and equalizes the assessments extended in the current year on the taxable property of Grant County for taxes to be levied in the year 2015.

The owners or agents of any taxable property who believe there are inequities in their assessment or exemptions may file a petition and appear before the board.

Petitions must be filed by July 1 to be considered timely. Appeal forms may be acquired from the Grant County Courthouse, Grant County Commissioners Office, 35 C St. NW, Ephrata, Washington, or from the county website.
