Betty Truman Grant Olson died May 17, 2014, in Bellevue, Wash., of cancer, following her diagnosis late last year and a resulting determined six-month course of treatment.

Betty was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Front Royal, Va., to Wiley Grant and Grace Hockman Grant. Her one sibling, Edgar Grant, Jr., preceded her in death.

In 1980, she married the love of her life, Jon Olson.

She is survived by her husband Jon, of Kalispell; son, Tim Soule, and Bobbie, of Gardnerville, Nev.; daughters, Grace Todd Downs and Greg of Snoqualmie, Wash., and Jennifer Schubert and Mark of Medina, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Betty had a strong faith, treasured her family, loved all animals, most people, and had a great capacity for wonder and imagination. Betty was a life-long Christian and gave thanks to God, and her Savior, Jesus Christ, for all the blessings she was given on this earth.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at Christ Church Episcopal in Kalispell, followed by services and interment in the Chapel of the Resurrection at St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle, on June 21.
