MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Public Library is celebrating 50 years of existence this year and next. It was completed in 1964 and dedicated in 1965.

In commemoration of the anniversary, the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation is composing an anthology of collected memories, thoughts and stories about the library.

The Foundation is asking for submissions to complete this project. You may write a story, draw a picture, take a photo, even create a poem for possible inclusion in the book.

Tell the Foundation what the library means to you. What memories of the library you have. How often you come to the library.

Submissions of stories and poems should be no more than two typed pages, single spaced, with 1-inch margins and should be emailed to info@mlplf.org. Pictures and photos can also be emailed or dropped off at the Moses Lake Public Library.

All submissions for the Anthology book are due before August 15, 2014. All entries become the property of the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation.

The completed Anthology will be sold to raise money to support the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation as it seeks to expand and remodel the present library.

The Moses Lake Public Library Foundation (MLPLF) is a group of citizens from all walks of life working together to improve the public library in Moses Lake.

While the foundation works closely with the North Central Regional Library District, which manages the library and its collections, and the City of Moses Lake, which owns the building, the foundation is independent of those organizations.
