Official pleads not guilty to self-dealing

SANDPOINT — A Laclede Water District board member is pleading not guilty using a public position for personal gain.
Jerry Doyle’s plea clears the way for a jury trial in Bonner County Magistrate Court on July 10.
Doyle, 66, is accused of self-dealing by voting to hire and compensate his stepson to be the district’s maintenance superintendent and treatment plant operator.
