SANDPOINT — Ron Stocking was sworn in as fire chief Monday, ushering in a new chapter for the Sandpoint Fire Department.
Selected by a city staff team headed up by Mayor Carrie Logan and approved by council members, Stocking replaces Robert Tyler as fire chief. Tyler officially retired May 31 following Stocking’s approval by council members.
