A diverse group of health-conscious professionals will offer its expertise to the public at a free forum Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Community Room of the Coeur d'Alene Public Library.

Coeur d'Alene's sixth annual Wellness Fair will offer health screenings and education, advice from local wellness experts, food samples and more. The goal of the fair is to empower citizens to pursue healthy lifestyles, regardless of age or abilities.

"It's really an awareness event to provide information that allows people to make healthier choices," said Melissa Tosi, the city's human resources director and facilitator of the wellness committee. "Our goal is to motivate people to make positive health behavior changes in all aspects of life."

Local wellness stores, dieticians, chiropractors, nutrition companies, oral health care professionals and fitness club representatives will be in attendance.

The Wellness Fair is hosted by the city of Coeur d'Alene and Helbling Benefits Consulting.
