Balance North Idaho announces new board member

Former Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin has joined the board of directors of Balance North Idaho, a political action committee that endorses and promotes candidates and issues in local nonpartisan elections.

"We are honored to have Clay Larkin on our board," said Eden Irgens, BNI President. "He brings deep knowledge of the Post Falls community and is very respected within our county. It will be a pleasure to work with him on future non-partisan elections."

Larkin has been a resident of Post Falls since 1969. He was first appointed mayor of Post Falls in January 2001. He was then elected mayor in November 2001 and took office in January 2002 and finished his third term in 2014. Before becoming mayor, he served five years on the Post Falls City Council.

Larkin's years of public service include 12 years in the U.S. Air Force, volunteer service as a firefighter, ambulance technician and eight years on the local school board.

In addition to Larkin, Balance North Idaho board members include: Irgens, Mic Armon, Elva Allan, and Tom Cronin.
