SANDPOINT — The Coldwater Creek brand may survive after all following its purchase by Sycamore Partners, a New York City-based private equity firm.

Sycamore Partners officials announced Monday they acquired the Coldwater Creek brand and other intellectual property through its affiliate, CWC Direct LLC. The purchase was arranged for an undisclosed amount during Coldwater Creek’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Wilmington, Del. Sycamore Partners intends to re-launch Coldwater Creek as an “independent portfolio company.”
