SANDPOINT — The vision for the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail is nothing less than grand.
Local city officials and residents see it as not just a simple hiking trail, but instead a thread connecting the communities of Bonner County. Considering the scale of those ambitions, supporters are requesting proposals from contractors to help plan the next stage of trail development. Officials aim to have a consultant hired by the end of the summer.
