The Glacier Twins A rebounded from a heartbreaking marathon loss to Kalispell AA last week with a sweep of the Libby Loggers the next day.

Kalispell Lakers AA squeaked out a 12-11 win at Glacier on June 10 at Memorial Park, ending the Twins’ winning streak at 12 games.

Leading at one point 8-3, the Lakers had to hold off multiple rallies by the streaking Twins. In the fourth, Glacier scored four runs to cut the Kalispell lead to one, then tied the game in the next inning at 8-8.

With the game pushing past 10 p.m., the Twins loaded the bases in the final frame with two outs trailing 12-11 before Ty Murphy grounded to second base to end the game.

Vincent Smith was 3 for 6 with three RBIs for the Twins. Colton Parker was 3 for 5 and Jayce Fagerland was 3 for 6.

Led by lights-out pitching, Glacier bounced back Wednesday to sweep a doubleheader against Libby at home.

Glacier took the first game 3-2, with the win going to pitcher Autin Robbins who struck out four in six innings.

In game 2, Glacier pitcher AJ Wetsch threw a no-hitter through the fifth inning as the Twins won 3-0.
