Falcon qualifies for Ironman World Championship

Whitefish athlete Jason Falcon placed second in his age group in the Ironman 70.3 Kansas on June 8.

Flacon completed the half Ironman course in 4:19:42 to place 27th overall, qualifying him for the Ironman World Championships 70.3 in Quebec this September.

In the 1.2 mile swim, Falcon finished in 27:40, followed by a 2:21:08 in the 56-mile bike. The final leg was a 13.1 mile run where Falcon logged a 1:26:38.

Falcon raced in the 2009 Ironman World Championship 70.3 held in Clearwater, Fla., where he clocked 4:30:35.

He has participated in Ironman 70.3 Kansas and Texas this year, and in the next couple of months will participate in two full Ironman events held in Couer d’Alene, Idaho, and Boulder, Colo.

Falcon is a physical therapist at Whitefish Therapy and Sport Center.
