Keith Weston Braman, 88, passed away peacefully at Kootenai Heath Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Monday, June 9, 2014.

Keith was born December 11, 1925, in Oak Park, Ill., the second child of Arthur Henry Braman and Mildred Truman Weston Braman. He had one older sister, Joann.

Keith entered the military in June 1939 with the Army Air Corp, continued into the Air Force, and retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Colonel in December 1985, after 48 years, 8 months and 5 days of service to our country.

Keith went to San Jose State College in California, and graduated in 1949 with a B.A. in Aeronautical Engineering. During these years he met and married Gloria Violet Myers, and had three children: Tara Nannette, Todd Weston, and Beth Kathleen. They divorced in 1958.

Later on, Keith married Norma Jean Holloway Brown, and helped to raise Gary S. Brown.

Keith also leaves behind grandchildren: Monica Olsen Simon, Heidi Olsen Chandler, Alicia Braman, Alexander Braman, Amanda Brown, Savannah Brown Hendrickson, Drew Otto, Crystal Otto Cummings, Shannon Otto Burmeister, Pierce Otto, and Stephanie Otto; and great grandchildren: Parker and Sutton Simon, Paisley and Westen Chandler, Paxton and Eian Hendrickson, Tayslie and Mckenna Otto, and Landen Burmeister.

Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Joann Braman Munoz.

Military honors memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
