Moses Lake Walleyes take 2 of 3 against Desert Sox

OTHELLO - The Moses Lake Walleyes split a two-game set on the road with the Othello Desert Sox before taking the rubber match at home.

Moses Lake overpowered Othello in Game 1, 21-7, before the team's bats quieted in Game 2 and the Walleyes fell, 11-1.

The Walleyes rebounded with an 10-8 win at home.

The two wins move Moses Lake's record to 4-7.

Moses Lake overcame a 5-1 deficit after the first inning of Game 1 and quickly regained the lead after a six-run second inning.

The Walleyes wrapped up the win in six innings with 12 runs combined in the final two frames.

Carson Fisk led the Moses Lake offense during the Game 1 victory.

Fisk led the club with four hits and 5 RBIs.

Christian Lopez and Xavier Rodriguez added three hits each. Rodriguez also drove in three runs.

After an explosive offensive output, the Walleye bats fell silent in the nightcap.

The team was only able to scratch out two hits.

Alex Garcia led the Othello attack with four hits and five RBIs.
