Four recruits have signed letters of intent with the North Idaho College women's basketball team for the 2014-15 season.

Maci Benedict, from Lebanon, Ore., is a 5-foot-7 combo guard who led her team to three straight trips to the 5A Oregon state championships. Her senior year, she averaged 12.1 points, 3.8 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game. She was a unanimous first team All-Mid-Willamette League selection as well as second team all-state, and first team all-tournament at state. Benedict is a McDonald's All-American nominee, four-year varsity lettermen, and a four-year scholar-athlete.

Monica Landdeck, from Brewster, Wash., joins the Cardinals at the off-guard position. As a senior, she was a repeat first team All-Caribou League selection and the second leading scorer in the league while averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She was selected to play in the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State game and led all scorers with 15 points. As a junior, she helped lead her team to a 26-1 record and a 1A state title.

Samara Hill, is a 5-foot-8 combo guard from Frankston, Victoria, in Australia. She led Rowville Secondary College (high school) to the Australian School national championship where they earned gold medals and she was named MVP. She led her team to silver in 2012 and gold in 2011. She was selected to the Victorian U18 State team and competed in the Australian Junior Championships in Brisbane. In 2012, her U18 state team earned the bronze and in 2011 her U16 team earned the gold. She has won the Frankston and District Basketball Association Rising Star award twice. This past season she averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3 steals per game.

Gracie Varcoe is a 6-foot-2 center from Gold Coast City, Queensland, in Australia. She led the All Saints Anglican School as team captain and top point scorer at the Queensland U18 All-State Champion Schools Tournament in 2012 and 2013 while averaging 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game. She has been named first team all-state Queensland, MVP and top rebounder at the Indonesia Challenge, and earned the Jungle High Performance Basketball Academy's Most Outstanding Talent award.

The new recruits will be joining returning guards Katie King of Post Falls, Bailey Schroeder of Benton City, Wash., Kara Staggs of Okanogan, Wash., and Ryleigh Swagerty of Burlington, Wash. Returning at forward is Sabrina Earle of Medical Lake and medical redshirt Mariah Swanson of Burlington, Wash. Caitlyn Behymer of Okanogan, Wash., and Panisesi Taimani of Kennewick, Wash., return as veteran post players.
