Gail Gundhild Hagberg, 74, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away June 10, 2014, at Ivy Court Retirement Home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Gail was born June 14, 1939, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Alfred Erickson and Leona Spahn Erickson. As a child, Gail moved with her family to the Idaho Silver Valley; she attended school in Kingston, and eventually graduated from Kellogg High School in 1958.
Gail met Theodore Hahn, and they were married in 1958; they divorced in 1979. She then met Bob Hagberg and they were married in 1980; they later divorced. Gail raised four of her five children in the Silver Valley, later moving to Coeur d’Alene in the late 90’s, and then settling in Garwood in 2004. Gail met Johnny Symons in 2004, who was her companion until her passing.
Gail enjoyed fishing, bingo, crocheting, and going to live auctions.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her five children: Cindi McKinnis, of Boise, Idaho; Trent (Leona) Hahn, of Osburn, Idaho; Troy (Wendy) Hahn, of Post Falls, Idaho; Theresa Cahan (fiancé Ryan), of Port Hadlock, Wash., and Tina (Kevin) Viche, of Kellogg, Idaho; 11 grandchildren: Miriam, Sheila, Aaron, Jacob, Jayme, Lucas, Robert, Kirsten, Johnny, Alex, and Daniel; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred (Dorothy) Erickson, of Pinehurst, Idaho; one sister, Karen Frisbie, of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life potluck will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Gene Day Park in Osburn, Idaho. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bell Tower Funeral Home, and you may view her on-line memorial atwww.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
