Corey Richards of Bonners Ferry, with another helping of crawdads after making his way through more than 100 during Saturday afternoon. Richards said he used to come to the crawdad festival at the Yaak saloon in the 90s and was happy the event was up and running again.

Crawdad Fuchs
Celine Fuchs and Matt Niedermann of St. Gallen, Switzerland at the crawdad festival in Yaak on Saturday. The couple had come from Canada the day before - the last leg on a year-long trip around the world -Êand were told by a border official that the festival was an event they wouldn't want to miss.

Hunter Dana, 14, of Columbia Falls, left, tries a crawdad with friend Nick Schroeder, also 14, of Kalispell. The pair said they had enjoyed dancing, eating and camping with their families during the 3-day weekend and would be looking forward to returning next year.
