The Glacier Symphony and Chorale will hold its Summer Symphony Pops concert, “American Inspiration,” at Rebecca Farm near Kalispell on Saturday, June 28, with popular movie tunes and a patriotic audience sing-along.

This is one week earlier than in previous years. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. rain or shine, with large tents available in case of inclement weather. The main concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Entry fee is $40 per carload.

A preshow musical serenade will be provided by guitarists Simone Craft and Karl Ross Berdimurat, from the Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation, and Montana Midnight Guitar Trio, consisting of locals Paul Gonsorchik, David Murdock and Mike Streeter.

The Glacier Symphony and Chorale will perform Aaron Copland’s “Hoedown,” George Gershwin’s “Cuban Overture” and “Havana,” John Williams’ “The Cowboys,” Henry Mancini’s “Theme from the Pink Panther” and “Theme from the Wild Wild West,” Badelt’s “Pirates of the Caribbean,” John Philip Sousa’s “Liberty Bell March,” “Thunderer March” and “Stars and Stripes Forever,” James Stephenson’s “Sing Along America” medley, and concludes at dusk with Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture.”

Rebecca Farm is located at 1010 West Springcreek Road. From U.S. 93 north in Kalispell, turn west onto Reserve Drive, continue through the roundabout and turn left on Springcreek Road. Follow signs to gate.

Concertgoers are advised to bring lawn furniture, blankets and a picnic lunch, but no dogs or barbecue grills. For more information, call 407-7000.
