Harry Neil Sanford, 81, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kalispell. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
Harry was born on July 17, 1932, in Baker to Roger and Nellie Sanford. He graduated high school in Kalispell.
Harry worked as a janitor at the Kalispell Center Mall and the LDS Church. In 2005 Harry moved to Sandpoint to be closer to his brother.
Harry was a member and elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and comedies on TV; he also enjoyed his faithful companions and dogs.
He is survived by his brother, Delbert, and Rhoda Sanford, of Laclede, Idaho; four nieces, Connie and Steve Mathis of Beaverton, Ore., Susan and Rick Ishibashi of Yuba City, Calif., Sylvia Taylor of Priest River, Idaho, and Rae Sanford of Yuba City; one nephew, Roger Sanford, of Santa Clara, Calif.; also surviving are numerous great-nieces and -nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Nellie Sanford; and his sister, Sharon Sanford.
