Ephrata's Kendall Sage to play in All-State game

SPOKANE - After scoring over 300 points and grabbing 80 rebounds her junior season, Ephrata's Kendall Sage will play in the 18th Annual 2014 Washington/North Idaho All-State Girls' Basketball Games.

Sage helped the Tigers to an 11-9 record in the 2013-2014 season before falling to Grandview in the first round of the CWAC District Tournament.

The junior wing will play for the East 2A/3A team and will be the lone representative from the CWAC.

Sage totalled 311 points for Ephrata, good for an average of 15.5 points per game. She also recorded 81 rebounds and 62 assists, helping Sage achieve All-League First Team honors.

The Columbia Basin Big Nine will have two representatives in the 2/3A All-State Game.

Sunnyside's Emilee Maldonado and Jordan Rodriguez will join Sage on the East squad. Maldonado and Rodriguez helped the Grizzlies earn a co-league championship with Moses Lake.

The games will be held at the Hub Sports Center in Spokane June 21 and B/East vs. B/West will begin at 1:30 p.m.

1A East vs. 1A West follows at 3:30 p.m. with 2A/3A East vs. 2A/3A West closing the schedule at 5:30 p.m.
