A vehicle is on fire following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday near Helena. A fire engine and a pickup truck collided on the highway in southwestern Montana, causing an explosion and fire that killed six people, including a fire chief and three Helena children. There were no survivors. A Three Forks fire engine heading east on U.S. 12 collided with a westbound pickup Thursday night, about 10 miles east of Helena, forcing both vehicles into the ditch, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy Bob Gleich said.
