ROYAL CITY - One hundred and 55 youngsters received their diplomas at the Red Rock Elementary kindergarten graduation on June 5.

"The staff and students worked hard to put on a show for the families of the students in all seven kindergarten classes," counselor Nicole Schwartz said.

Graduation was held a week earlier than the close of the school year. Students were still attending classes last week.

Students from Mrs. Robbins, Mrs. Montgomery, Mrs. Mueller, Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Manning and Ms. Leone's classes sang three songs in the gym at Red Rock. They were dressed as bees, complete with antenna and stingers.

"The students did wonderfully, and it was clear they had been practicing," Schwartz said.

After the performance, the students went with their families to their individual classrooms. There the teachers were able to celebrate with their students in a more personal manner.

Each teacher decorated her classroom, providing treats and keepsakes for the students and their families to remember all they have learned and accomplished this year.
